FAQs - How our programs work

What do I get with my membership?

Your membership grants you access to live sessions covering predetermined topics. If your desired topic isn’t scheduled for the current session, don’t worry—it will be coming up in the upcoming days!

Is there a commitment?

No, there’s no long-term commitment. You can cancel anytime, and you’re free to tailor your learning experience to your schedule and needs.

How is the program tailored to my needs when lessons are predetermined?

Lessons rotate to ensure that all necessary topics for passing both practical and written tests are covered in a timely manner. However, since all lessons are live, they can be adjusted in real-time to address the specific needs and questions of participating students.

Who are the instructors?

Lessons are primarily led by our Chief Instructor, with occasional contributions from guest instructors. Additionally, a few sessions include lessons delivered by CFI candidates under the direct supervision of a certificated flight instructor. Every session has either a Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) or an Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI) present to ensure quality and accuracy in instruction.

What makes your program different from traditional flight schools?

Our program focuses on live, interactive lessons instead of pre-recorded content. We also prioritize affordability, customization, and guidance to help students avoid the common pitfalls of traditional flight training.

Can I try a lesson before committing to a membership?

We occasionally offer trial sessions or consultations. Contact us to find out about current opportunities for prospective students.

How does the courtesy 2-hour Mock checkride work?

We provide a 2-hour, one-on-one courtesy mock checkride once you have a confirmed exam date with a DPE. However, if your exam date is less than 30 days away, you’ll need to either use our Checkride Preparation service or upgrade to a 6-month membership for your next rating. For example, if you’re scheduled for your Instrument Rating add-on, you could upgrade to a 6-month Commercial Pilot membership.

Can I get one-on-one lessons on topics I choose?

Yes! Your membership includes a discounted rate for one-on-one lessons where you can choose the topics you want to focus on. Our rates are designed to beat any reputable flight school's one-on-one lesson rates.

Can I take all the lessons, even those outside of my goal?

Technically, yes. However, in the opinion of the Chief Instructor, this approach may not be ideal for most students. That said, there are exceptions. For example, learning a maneuver like a lazy eight can be a great way to demonstrate to a student pilot how a constant-pitch propeller adjusts RPM with pitch changes.
